4 NASCAR drivers penalized ahead of the 2026 Daytona 500
The buildup for the 2026 Daytona 500 has brought its fair share of drama, and not just from the drivers on track. Following Thursday night’s America 250 Florida Duel qualifying races at Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR officials have confirmed that four Cup Series regulars will be penalized by being forced into backup cars for Sunday’s season-opening race.
